Our Mission Statement
"SEARCH FOR THE ULTIMATE CUP" AND PARTICIPATE WITH US IN A QUEST THAT HAS A BEGINNING, TRULY, NO END...
We do not know who the earliest coffee drinkers were, but it is almost certain that they lived in Ethiopia, where coffee grows wild even today. From the ninth century, coffee began its wild journey around the world and in volume of trade, today, coffee is second only to oil on the world market.
The world of fine coffee is closely aligned with that of the exacting wine maker or accomplished chef. Fine coffee is unequivocally subjective in nature, a question of taste. Artisan roasters and brewers are tastemakers, distinguished by the informed personal stamp they lend to their products.
At Snob's coffee, we strive to make this fine art of artisan coffee roasting and tasting accessible to the consumer by sharing with you some secrets for getting the most pleasure out of every cup of coffee. We believe that the more you know about coffee, the more you enjoy each encounter with it.
Did you know?
Coffee is the most labour intensive food product, undergoing more than 17 processing steps on the way to the mug of it's followers.
Solar Energy & Health
Everyone is aware that the greatest challenge facing our modern society today is preserving our natural resources for our descendants. At Snob's coffee we use solar energy in our roasting process, thereby distinguishing ourselves from the conventional gas roasting processes. The solar roasting process we use is a first for South Africa, and the most advanced in the world!
So, congratulations, by drinking snob's solar roasted coffee, you are actively contributing to the environment as well as your own health!
